International Environment Photograph Exhibition - Photographers who Love the Earth -

In 2009, the International Environment Photographers Association (IEPA) was established with a leading photographer Takashi Amano and a group of active photographers.  A large-scale photo exhibition, gathering together over 100 members' photographs, will be held at Niigata Kenmin Kaikan (Niigata Prefectural Civic Center) this summer.

Unpredictable climate change caused by global warming has been drawing serious attention globally for years.  The key factors behind it are large-scale logging and burning of forests, and environmental destruction due to gas emissions from factories and vehicles.  This photo exhibition is held for the purpose of increasing interest in nature and environmental issues, through photographs capturing beautiful natural landscapes and the ongoing environmental destruction.
Please feel their love for the earth.

In the second half of the exhibition period, the landscape photographs by Takashi Amano, founder of the association, will also be showcased in the same building.  Visitors will experience “the world from his viewpoint.”
