ADA PRODUCTS -The theory of evolution- #5. SCISSORS SERIES

Ryuji OgawaRyuji Ogawa
It is a tool with only one role, that of cutting aquatic plants, but it has evolved into a highly specialized and convenient tool because it is a hobby tool. Let us introduce the genealogy of the Pro-Scissors series, which has curved blades, blades with a special angle, a bent or long handle, and even a surprisingly specific evolution.

Tools that combine design and beauty proving that they are more than just functionality.

Trimming is an essential part of maintaining a beautiful aquascape. Although scissors are mass-produced as a popular tool, they are not suitable for use in aquarium maintenance. Therefore, scissors specially designed for trimming were developed with attention to every detail and quality, including ideal length, thinness, sharpness, and design. The keenly sharpened blades are slightly warped to achieve precise alignment, and provide a high-performance cutting edge. High-precision cutting is possible at the tip of the blade as well as at the base of the blade. The Pro-Scissors series is a lineup that inherits these qualities and concepts. ADA developed a series of scissors designed specifically for this purpose, such as curved blades for cutting undergrowth and unique handles for approaching gaps in the composition framework. The beautiful design and high functionality of the scissors supports the name “Pro-Scissors” as there are several shapes that are necessary for aquascape creation and aquarium maintenance, and they are even fun to collect as hobby tools.
