The second ADA event in South Africa, led by ADA SUIKEI Creator Daichi Araki, took place on November 22 and 23, 2025, in Johannesburg. The venue, ADA LAB ssp. JOHANNESBURG, is located within Sandton City, one of the most luxurious shopping malls on the African continent, highlighting the growing interest in indoor greenery and aquascaping in South Africa.

On the first day, Araki conducted a live aquascaping demonstration using DOOA Mizukusa Mist Wall 600. What immediately caught everyone’s attention was an exceptionally large piece of driftwood—almost unimaginable for a W600-sized Cube Garden—which drew audible gasps from the audience the moment it appeared. By boldly extending the driftwood outward, an exotic mist wall with a striking presence was created despite the compact footprint. The driftwood was also assembled with delicate balance so as not to place stress on the glass panel sides.

The second day featured the creation of a minimalist paludarium inspired by a Japanese garden, using the newly released Glass Paluda 600. In stark contrast to the lush, jungle-like mist wall composed of numerous plant species on the previous day, this layout showcased an aesthetic of restraint and simplicity. The strong contrast between the two works captivated the attendees.

Participants consisted of nearly equal numbers of returning attendees from the 2023 event and newcomers who had recently begun their aquarium journey. Although seating was limited to 60, it was apparent that demand had exceeded the available capacity.
