The Nature Aquarium Party, held as an annual event for presenting the contest’s top works and the awarding ceremony, will be cancelled this year due to concerns over the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Along with this, the IAPLC 2020 contest schedule will be changed from what was announced previously.
The application deadline and the evaluation schedule will remain the same schedule as already set, but the announcement of the results and the presentation of top works will take place all together on YouTube Live on Saturday, August 29th, 2020. After this live stream, the contest result will be mailed to each contestant and the World Rankings will be announced online. Please note that the arrival of the result notification, the announcement of the World Rankings and the presentation of top works will be in a different order this year. In addition, a small gift of the contest’s 20th anniversary will be sent to all this year’s contestants along with the result notification. For overseas contestants located outside of Japan, the result notification will be sent out once the situation around the international postal service recovers.
It is truly regrettable that we cannot hold the awarding ceremony this year, but the honors that the top prize winners will receive are equally as impressive as the past years.
