The IAPLC2026 Contest Book is now available for purchase. This year, the contest received 1,452 entries from 78 countries and areas around the world. The book features works ranked from 1^st to 1,420th in the world rankings. In addition to planted aquarium layouts submitted from around the world, the book includes comments and evaluations from the judges, explanations of selected aquascapes, and an overall review of this year's contest.
We hope you will enjoy looking back on IAPLC2026 while also using the book to explore trends in planted aquarium layouts worldwide and as a source of inspiration for creating your entry for next year's contest.
Past editions of the IAPLC Contest Book are also available and continue to be popular. Comparing this year's works with those from previous years offers an interesting look at how planted aquarium expression and trends have evolved over time.

Notice of the Specifications for the “IAPLC 2026 Contest Book”

We have received inquiries and feedback from customers regarding the absence of the year on the spine of the recently published IAPLC 2026 Contest Book. As part of the design specifications, the year was not included on the spine of this year’s book. However, we recognize that this may cause inconvenience for customers who collect the books each year, making them more difficult to organize and identify alongside previous editions.

We have prepared a PDF file that can be used on the spine of the IAPLC 2026 Contest Book in response to customer’s feedback. We will revert to the previous design, which included the year on the spine for next year’s and future editions.
