Also known as “cobalt ferns” in Japanese, these plants have hard, blue-glimmering leaves that are especially striking under low light. They thrive in high humidity, which is ideal for cultivation in glass cases, but it’s important to watch out for temperature increases during the summer.

The South American native fern enchants with its blue-glimmering leaves. While it will eventually need a larger planting case as it grows, its slow growth rate allows you to enjoy it in the MARU130 for a longer time if you start with a smaller specimen.

As a dwarf species within the epiphytic fern family, it is well-suited for tall, narrow glass cases. It’s easy to grow in a case setup without worrying about water loss at the start. The growth rate is very slow.
