NATURE AQUARIUM GALLERY #03 – Swaying in the Clear Stream
At the Nature Aquarium Gallery, aquascapes are created and maintained every day. Through this ongoing work, ADA has developed a deep and practical knowledge of Nature Aquarium. In the web series NATURE AQUARIUM GALLERY, we interview ADA SUIKEI Creators and ADA’s expert maintenance staff to explore their creations and share tips on how to care for and grow aquatic environments using ADA products.
This aquascape evokes the memory of a clear mountain stream from childhood, where Hakkai Stones and aquatic plants come together in harmony.
Swaying in the Clear Stream
This aquascape captures the pure, flowing water of an early summer stream—reminiscent of the creeks I played in as a child. The strong presence of Hakkai Stones is balanced by tall aquatic plants such as Hairgrass (Eleocharis acicularis), and fine, ribbon-like foliage. The stones are arranged in a relaxed, natural manner without overworking the composition. The harmony between the rocks and plants makes this a layout you can gaze at endlessly without growing tired of it.

The curved blades of Pro-Scissors Wave make it ideal for delicate trimming. When held upright, the cutting range narrows—perfect for subtle adjustments. This was especially effective in controlling plant density to enhance the visual presence of decorative stones.

Using Soil Scraper & Phyton Git Sol for Algae Control
Over time, blue-green algae (cyanobacteria) can become an unavoidable issue. The Soil Scraper, with its thin blade and excellent maneuverability, is a highly useful tool for maintaining such areas. It allows for smooth insertion of a siphon hose into narrow gaps between the substrate and glass, making algae removal more efficient.
