ADA EVENT REPORT – Vietnam 2026

Over the two days of March 28–29, an aquarium event titled “The Art of Nature Aquarium – Vietnam Masterclass”, hosted by ADA Vietnam (ADA distributor), was held in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
The venue, CHILLALA – House of Art in the Thao Dien district—an event space featuring a café and furniture gallery—provided an ideal setting for a photo exhibition. As Vietnam’s first user-participation event of this kind, it also gave visitors the opportunity to explore ADA’s history through captioned displays.

At the heart of the event stood a W1200 mm aquarium created by ADA SUIKEI Creator Araki. The layout embodied the essence of Nature Aquarium design, pairing a bold concave composition with finely detailed planting. The work was admired to a highly engaged audience, including many Vietnamese aquascapers known for their consistent top placements in the IAPLC.
The event was further elevated by the presence of IAPLC2011 Grand Prize winner Mr. Long Tran Hoang and IAPLC2013 Grand Prize winner Mr. Truong Thinh Ngo, whose participation helped deepen connections within the community. T-shirts inspired by Vietnam’s national colors—red and yellow—brought a shared sense of identity to the space.

Day two featured a SHIZUKU mini paludarium workshop alongside a Hardscape Contest using W450 CUBE GARDEN tanks. With Araki leading as instructor, each session welcomed around 20 participants, blending hands-on creation with product insights in a lively, engaging atmosphere.
Vietnam’s already high level of aquascaping was clearly evident: the SHIZUKU works were beautifully executed, while the Hardscape Contest revealed a striking range of originality. The driftwood used—each piece carefully selected by the ADA Vietnam—played a key role in elevating the final compositions.
Araki offered individual critiques for every piece, and participants listened intently—not only to feedback on their own work, but also to insights shared on others. This collective focus and discipline may well be what continues to drive Vietnam’s strong performance in the IAPLC.

The event concluded on a high note with certificate presentations and a group photo.
