NATURE IN THE GLASS ‘Invitation To Tropical Rainforests’

A powerful old tree, the face of Nature Tower 360° covered in ferns and epiphytes

Nature Tower 360° is a special exhibit for this event. This huge layout consists of 8 units. Each unit was created by imagining tropical rainforests and waterside areas around the world. The view of the unit 1 is the main visual, and that’s the first area you will see when you visit the Nature Tower 360°. Southeast Asia, mainly Malaysia, Indonesia and surrounding islands are the theme for this unit. Although it looks slightly heavy and dark at first glance, the peaceful time that a magnificent old tree, thriving ferns and epiphytes provide, creates a gap with the timeline of visitors. It purposely attracts the visitors to the Nature Tower 360°.
Mini commentary about Nature Tower 360°
From the Southeast Asia areas in the UNIT1-2 to the Indian area in the UNIT3, the layout gradually becomes more open, and the underwater area looks more festive.

Waterside of South America where Echinodorus gather around

A vast area from the southern Amazon to Rio de la Plata is condensed in this area. And a river and a marshy area in Campo, Gran Chaco, and Pampa are depicted rather than tropical rainforest. For that reason, the water surface was widely secured, and the waterside area is stretched out to the lower part of the wall by planting Hydrocotyle leucocephala and Micranthemum sp. extendedly. Although various types of Echinodorus are planted in this unit, not only progenitors but improved varieties are incorporated without hesitation. It also has the meaning of respect for the great predecessors who have created the culture to enjoy aquatic plants in aquariums.
Mini commentary about Nature Tower 360°
After the UNIT4 and 5 with the theme of Madagascar and Africa areas, the journey to go around the waterside areas ends in Central and South America in the Unit6-8.
