Under sustained warmth and humidity, ferns, mosses and other tropical rainforest plants develop large and beautiful leaves. The Neo Glass Palda 600 was used for this layout which features plants that prefer a humid environment but do not require a full mist flow system. Though the Viola iwagawai thrives in moist environments, Asplenium prolongatum is prone to leaf burn, yet both are growing well here, an indication that their natural environment has been successfully recreated. Vigorous young Begonia dregei saplings stand on decayed fallen trees, symbolizing the generational transition of the forest.
Although Begonia dregei is often treated as a bulbous plant, in a paludarium, it is relatively easy to care for, with no need for dormancy. The goal of this layout was also to convey the raw and vivid presence of nature. The Neo Glass Palda 600, developed for the enjoyment of plants and layout, features minimalistic, double-swing clear glass doors at the front. There are few paludarium cases that can so effectively show the natural beauty of plants and vividness of a layout as this one does.
