The Jungle Plants series is a line of living products that allow you to enjoy the unique appearance of plants such as leaves of aquatic plants and orchid flowers in glass containers. In each issue, our plant-loving writer takes a close-up look at one species from the product lineup and introduces its ecology in depth.
Plants to enjoy while thinking of jungles
In tropical jungles, a wide variety of plants that prefer a humid environment as well as aquatic plants, grow wild at the waterside. ADA produces the Jungle Plants series for aquariums, terrariums, paludariums, and other glass cases from the diversity of plants. The Jungle Plants series includes amphibious and terrestrial plants, and the colors of the product tag labels are divided into green (terrestrial only) and white (amphibious) to help you choose the right one. There are three product forms, such as LC cups, tissue culture cups, and small epiphytic orchid pots. In the “Closeup Jungle Plants”, we will focus on one species from the Jungle Plants series lineup and introduce its characteristics and ecology with examples.
Closeup Point
❶LC cups are produced with pre-rooted plants using different sponge materials depending on the type of plant.

❷For Begonia and Sonerila, ventilation holes are provided in the upper part of the cup to easily maintain the humidity suitable for acclimatization.

❸The small epiphytic orchids are produced in a size that is easy to handle and does not require difficult work such as dividing the plants.
