MINI NA_05 Everything You Can Learn from Small Tanks

Editors of Aqua JournalEditors of Aqua Journal
This time, we feature the layout in a tank measuring W300 x D180 x H240 mm. Generally, plant layouts in small tanks tend to be simple. While this simplicity is often necessary for maintenance reasons, small tanks are easier to modify, making them ideal for experimenting with different layouts. This approach allows you to refine your skills and techniques while having fun. Although this featured layout is small, it follows the basic philosophy of Nature Aquarium. It includes a front view, an intermediate view, and a backdrop, arranged in a U-shape with driftwood and Hygrophila pinnatifida. The front is planted with Glossostigma, while colorful stem plants are placed in the back. The dense cluster of plants creates a water forest effect. Various tools are used to form and maintain this small aquatic forest, with the Pollen Glass Mini being crucial for growing plants densely. A layout like this is ideal for understanding how to adjust CO2 supply based on plant growth. Though small, it demonstrates the essential basics of Nature Aquarium.
