This idea was inspired by the view I saw as a child when, after diving into a river, I looked up at the water’s surface.
Q What inspired you to participate in the IAPLC?
I began my aquarium hobby, which I had been interested in for a while, after moving to a new place. I struggled with growing aquatic plants at first, so I bought many books and sought advice from shop staff. As I gradually improved in cultivating aquatic plants, one of the shop staff recommended the IAPLC to me, which led to me participating.
Q Where did you get the theme, motif, and idea for this layout?
The theme of this layout is a happy fresh water scene viewed from a fish’s perspective looking up at the water’s surface. This idea was inspired by the view I saw as a child when, after diving into a river, I looked up at the water’s surface.
Q You achieved a high ranking again this time, following your previous success. Do you have any secrets to winning?
Since this is a contest where others will see my work, I focus on the following three points:
1. Convey the theme to the viewers
2. Emphasize the visual impact
3. Stay true to the image I really want to create.
I approach my work keeping these three points in mind.
Q Are there any specific items or products you are particular about when creating your layouts?
I find using ADA products (Aquarium tanks, cabinets, Solar RGB, and various others) combines usability and design, not only creating a nartistic (aquarium) tank, but also adding comfort to my daily life.
