The ammonia content in aquarium water, which was generated during the first week of the initial set-up, was reduced to the lower concentration, 0.25mg/L.

Inside the filter system, we placed good-conditioned filter media which was previously used in other filter systems. Although it’s a large sized tank, ammonia and NO2 were all removed from the aquarium within 2 weeks.

Eleochalis vivipara grew quickly; we had trimmed the plant twice by the time it reached at the water surface. Getting rid of a plantlet which is produced on the tip of culm will help protecting the base of the plant.

3 weeks had passed since the initial set-up. Aquatic plants inside the tank started growing nicely. We added Brighty K, and also Green Brighty STEP1 to supply trace elements to the aquarium.
