Opening from August 3 through 15, the exhibition “THE WORLD OF TAKASHI AMANO” is on view at Niigata Isetan department store in Niigata, Japan. The exhibition is held in the 7th floor art hall until August 15 (Mon).  It showcases Takashi Amano’s large landscape photo panels and 6 Nature Aquarium layouts transported from the Nature Aquarium Gallery.  The aquariums are in a variety of sizes, including a W180xD60xH60cm tank, W120xD45xH60cm tank and W90xD45xH60cm tank.  They were all originally produced by Takashi Amano and have been taken care of in the gallery.  Throughout his career, Amano had captured many photographs of landscapes and recreated precious nature in Nature Aquariums.  The exhibition focuses on Amano’s creation process and his view of the world through his landscape photographs and aquascapes.

*During the exhibition event, the Nature Aquarium Gallery will be closed.
