Grand Solar 250
Grand Solar 250 is a pendant style lighting system equipped with a 250W metal halide lamp. The system employs a small-sized and light-weighted electronic ballast and a light condensing light reflector for the first time in aquarium industry. It provides a sufficient amount of light for the growth of invertebrates, which require a strong light in a large deep aquarium tank.

Grand Solar II
Grand Solar II is a pendant style lighting system equipped with four 36W twin fluorescent lamps. A low-heat-radiating electronic ballast which make exercised the function of NA Lamp 36W twin maximally is integrated in the system. The pendant style system is ideal for releasing out heat and prevents the increase in temperature. Designed for a tank between 75cm and 90cm in length.

Grand Solar Stand
Grand Solar Stand is used exclusively with Grand Solar 250, Grand Solar I, Grand Solar II (only for W90cm aquarium). Install the stand on the Wood Cabinet with brackets. Including brackets to attach cabinet by screws and clips for keeping the electrical wires nice and neat.

Aqua Design Amano has faced many aquatic plants by making numerous numbers of aquatic plants. In this process, Grand Solar I is one of the terminus ad quem of our lighting equipment. Its development tips after all existed in the Mother Nature. In the actual water of the freshwater river, strong sunlight only penetrates into water during two hours before and after noon time, and the light is reflected on the water surface for the rest of the day time. From these observations, we came up the idea to use metal halide lamp for the strong lighting, and softer lighting with fluorescent lamp, in order to realize the natural sunlight.
In this development process, we examined the material carefully, and produced all the materials within Japan. The design of Grand Solar I is simple, yet it equipped with slits for releasing the high temperature from metal halide lamp, and radiator fin. We also adapted highest quality level electronic ballast for Grand Solar I. The ballast is the core of the metal halide lamps, and in a sense it is the most important part. From this point, we can say brand new electronic ballast of Grand Solar 250 is the groundbreaking development.
